I know most people don't like to spend a ton of money on a maternity wardrobe and I TOTALLY get it. I don't either. Why spend a fortune on clothes you'll only wear for a few months?

Sure, peradventure you'll have more kids but unless you have them dorsum to back chances are you'll want newer styles the adjacent time a pregnancy rolls around.

I got significant with my son when my daughter was but nine months old so it felt like I never even had a chance to put them away. Now that I'm pregnant for the third time and haven't been pregnant in 3 years I'm looking at my maternity wardrobe like "What were you thinking when you lot bought that?!"

Even though the styles and my personal style accept changed in the last few years the staple items that I always got a ton of use out of are pretty much all the same the aforementioned. Then today I wanted to share with you the 5 maternity wardrobe items I recall every pregnant woman should invest in!

Motherhood Wardrobe Staples – The 5 Items You Need To Invest In

• Layering Tanks. Information technology doesn't matter if it's spring, summertime, winter or fall these tanks are and then versatile. I clothing mine with beautiful (non-maternity) cardigans ALL THE Fourth dimension! They're also perfect for sleeping since they usually have the ruching down the sides which prevents them from riding up. My favorite ones come in 7 colors and is under $13. I love throwing them on with cutoffs and slides in the summer for casual weekends. Plus, they're great for postal service-baby!

• BodyCon/Maxi Dresses – Lately these dresses have been my go-to. First off – they're comfy. Non to mention y'all don't have to worry most pulling it up all 24-hour interval long like you lot would most maternity jeans. They're non restricting and usually they're lightweight which is perfect for a summer pregnancy. They come in and then many different fits and for me I can actually vesture a lot of them post baby every bit well.

Leggings. Exercise I really need to explain? lol. Leggings in general are comfy and they're no different for pregnancy. Throw on a sweater or a tee and you're out the door. Y'all can find some cracking deals on simple blackness leggings just about anywhere. I recently grabbed this 2-pack for under $25!

Cardigans. Lots of em'. You won't take to experience so bad most spending money on these since technically you don't have to purchase them maternity. You lot can get plenty of use for them during pregnancy likewise as after. I honey layering mine with the fitted ruched tanks!

Jeans and/or denim shorts.Against your volition you only might accept to vesture something besides leggings out of the business firm every at present and so. And if that unfortunately happens so your best bet is to just exist prepared! I didn't invest in a TON of maternity jeans, only 2-3 styles that I knew I would really wear. Y'all can't get incorrect with a pair of cropped distressed denim jeans, denim cutoffs and a pair of white jeans.
